Louis M says: "During High School,I started work as baker position at Schroeder's bakery when I was eighteen years old.I work various restaurants and bakery places in Buffalo area but experienced difficulty in advancing my career. Often finding myself stuck on dead-end jobs with no possible chance for advancement.My long-term goal was to become a chef.I moved up from dish to pizzaman.I enrolled in the Culinary program at Erie Community College and Culinary Training Institute.
I decided to make a major career move and applied for a position with Delaware North-the food service provider for the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres pro sports teams. I was hired and now works full time with this prestigious company!
I'm now confident that I can succeed as proud, deaf individual in the hearing world.Being able to working with hearing and deaf staff with total communications,ASL and talk.I encourage other deaf individual to "follow my footsteps." Never give up hope.
